    Officials at the Stronach Group made quite a deal of hiring Angela Hermann as track announcer at Golden Gate Fields when Michael Wrona won the job at Santa Anita in May. Hermann also announced the summer season to become the second woman ever to call races on a regular basis in the United States. It turns out, however, that she was serving only on an interim basis, so when Golden Gate Fields’ fall season begins Thursday, Frank Mirahmadi will be in the announcer’s booth on the grandstand’s rooft..
